This module introduces participants to
the ways in which systems interact - and sometimes
do not interact - in a manufacturing environment.
They become familiar with the basic components
of a manufacturing information network, both within
a company and with external customers. Through
a series of ALTs, participants learn how the components
form systems and how the systems must interact
to efficiently deliver a product to a customer.

Performance Measures gives participants
a working knowledge of the terms, concepts, and
principles typically used by manufacturing industries
to measure the performance of a given enterprise.
Participants become familiar with basic financial
statements, product costing, product/process improvement
relating to costs, and cost centers.
