Bronze and Creamic Coated Sleeve Bearings
Cylindrical sleeve bearings are used in all types of machinery and equipment that operate under widely varying conditions of load, speed, and service. Bearings need no lubrication since they are either virtually friction free or they are prelubricated with graphite plugs or oil. Choose bearings with or without flanges to suit your needs. Radial ball bearings are unmounted bearings normally used for radial and moderate thrust loads. Choose from open design, shielded, and sealed models. Open design bearings have the least friction but do not keep dirt from entering the bearing balls. Shielded bearings haves clearance between the shield and inner balls which provices for better protection from dirt but with a slight increase in friction. Sealed units have a flexible lip (usually synthetic rubber) in contact with the inner bearing which effectively keeps out dirt and retains lubrication, but increases friction.
